8.) The Scow (Barge)

is located in the Niagara River a short distance upstream from the Horseshoe Falls. The Scow broke free from a tug boat in August of 1918 with two men aboard. The Scow became stuck when the crew members opened the bottom hatch of the Scow, dumping its contents. Both men were rescued. All year round. Cost is FREE. is located along the Niagara Parkway 2.5 km (1.5 miles) North of the Whirlpool (between the Niagara Glen Nature Park & Sir Adam Beck Generating Station. The park is a 100 acre world class botanical garden for everyone whether an amateur of professional horticulturist. Hand groomed plants & trees of many varieties. The Robert Moses Hydro Electric Generating Station located at 5777 Lewiston Road in Lewiston New York offers visitors the Niagara Power Project Visitors Center (Power Vista). A glass enclosure at the edge of the Niagara Gorge offers visitors an unequalled view of the Sir Adam Beck and Robert Moses Power Stations. All Year Round. Cost is FREE. The Power Vista is now open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Robert Moses Generating Station does not offer plant tours. The public is invited to visit the many new and exciting interactive displays and models for children and adults alike. The Power Vista provides some of the most exciting panoramas available of the Niagara River and both the Sir Adam Beck Power Stations (Ontario) and the Robert Moses Power Station alike. 25.) Hornblower Niagara Cruises (Canada)
This is the newest attraction in Niagara Falls,Canada. Operations begin in April of 2014. Hornblower Niagara Cruises will provide daily boat tours to the base of the Falls as well as specialty tours in early morning and evenings aboard two newly built 700 person aluminum catamaran and a specialty vessel. Hornblower takes over Canadian operations from the Maid of the Mist Tour Boat Company after winning an open bid competition. Hornblower won the award from the Niagara Parks Commission for a term of 30 years for $500 million dollars. Hornblower will operate in direct competition with the US based Maid of the Mist Company.

At approximately 520 feet, the Skylon Tower is the tallest structure in Niagara. The tower was opened in the autumn of 1964. is located along the Niagara Parkway in Queenston, Ontario ( North of the Queenston - Lewiston International Bridge). Home of a Memorial Monument to British General Isaac Brock who died at Queenston on October 13th 1812, in battle against the invading Americans during the War of 1812. Visitors can climb the narrow spiral staircase 130 feet (40m) to a small observation deck for an excellent view of the park and the countryside including the hydro reservoirs, the Niagara Gorge, Lewiston New York and the Lower Niagara River. is a New York State Park located 4 miles north of the City of Niagara Falls along the Robert Moses Parkway at the edge of the Niagara Gorge. A geological snapshot of the history of the Niagara Gorge 12,000 years ago. A beautiful and picturesque nature and picnic area next to the Robert Moses Power Station. A stairway provides access to nature trails into Devil's Hole to the base of the Niagara Gorge. A 3.5 mile nature trail along the edge of the Niagara River extends from Devil's Hole to the Whirlpool Rapids. Site of a DeCew - Dolostone Cave. Hiking, fishing and picnics are permitted. Hiking along pathways at the base of the gorge can be physically demanding and should be undertaken by persons in good health and mobility. Cost is FREE. Wheelchair accessible (limited). Devil's Hole Ravine is located along the American shoreline of the Niagara River Gorge just north of the Niagara Glen. It is a deep bowl shaped basin of the Bloody Run tributary from Glacial Lake Tonawanda. After the Niagara River eroded the Niagara Gorge beyond Devil's Hole, the waters of Lake Tonawanda were still draining. One of the secondary outlets was at Devil's Hole where a water falls created a ravine adjacent to the wall of the Niagara Gorge. The flow of Lake Tonawanda diminished before this infant gorge could establish itself. The name Bloody Run recalls the massacre of British soldiers by the Seneca Indians in 1763. 36.) Ontario Power Generation & Robert Moses Power Generation Water Portal Gates
Ontario Hydro Water Intake Gate The Ontario Power Generation water portal intake gate structures are
located along the Niagara Parkway approximately 2 miles South of the Horseshoe
Falls. These massive shut-off gates are held in a constant state of readiness.
They would be closed to shut off either one or both of the forty five (45) foot
(14m) diameter concrete tunnels in the case of an extreme emergency if it was
necessary to shut off the water flow to the Sir Adam Beck Generating Station #2.

37.) Earl W. Brydges Art Park - Lewiston, New York
The manicured lawns of Art Park
is a 202 acre New York State Park dedicated to visual and performing arts. It was opened in 1974. Art Park is located in Lewiston, New York near the Queenston-Lewiston International Bridge. Art Park is a performing arts center for both the performing arts and visual arts. Both concerts and musical theatre take place at a 2,400 seat amphitheatre. This theatre is open from June through September. A smaller theatre seating 150 persons offers smaller musicals between March through December. During the summer months, many daytime arts and crafts activities take place. Stroll or picnic amongst the beautiful parklands of Art Park. For those more adventurous, several hiking trails along the Niagara Gorge provide many differing views of the Niagara River and the Niagara Power Projects. Cost is FREE. 38.) Dufferin Islands
Dufferin Islands are maintained by the Niagara Parks Commission. It is a beautiful and quiet nature area consisting of four islands inter-laced with walking paths connected together by bridges and several man made islands. The fast moving waters through Dufferin Islands have since been reduced drastically by the hydro electric water diversion upstream. The intake water gates for the Ontario Power Hydro-Electric Generating Station (retired & located just below the Horseshoe Falls) are located along the Niagara River at the mouth of Dufferin Islands. is located at 5810 Ferry Street in the City of Niagara Falls, Ontario. Experience the rich and colourful history of Niagara Falls through many artefacts which are collected, preserved and exhibited. Learn of our earliest settlers, native tribes, the War of 1812 and other significant historical events which has sculptured the City of Niagara Falls and the Niagara Frontier. 40.) Incline Railway
The Incline Railway
is located leading from the Table Rock Pavilion at the brink of the Horseshoe Falls to the Fallsview area above. Built in the 1960's, the incline railway is designed to provide easy access to and from the Falls and Queen Victoria Park to the Fallsview area on top of the 27 meter high (88.5 feet) glacial moraine which borders the western edge of the Niagara Parks (Queen Victoria Park). In 2013-2014, the Incline Railway was completely rebuilt to allow for all season operation in twin climate controlled gondola cars. Open Seasonal. A fee is charged.
